Address and distance search
If you enter a home, work, or other starting address, your browser sends that address to the Treasure Valley Mental Health Guide's own address-lookup endpoint. The server-side endpoint forwards the address text to a third-party geocoding service so it can be converted to coordinates for distance filtering. Your browser does not contact the geocoding service directly, and the Guide does not send the typed address to providers or place it in provider analytics.
The third-party geocoding service still processes the address text under its own terms and privacy practices. The Guide's lookup endpoint does not intentionally persist the submitted address or lookup response and returns only latitude/longitude coordinates to the browser. Lookup responses are marked not to be cached.
Sitewide analytics
The guide uses Brighter Sites Analytics to understand basic website usage and improve the site. It can record the page path, a random anonymous session identifier, whether a page was the session entry page, the referring website hostname, general device category, and limited click events such as phone, email, or outbound-link clicks.
The sitewide analytics tracker does not send names, email addresses, form contents, typed starting addresses, raw free-text mental health searches, complete query strings, or full referring URLs. It honors supported browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track.
Provider analytics
Advanced provider analytics use aggregated event data such as profile views, outbound clicks, structured specialty or modality filters, general city filters, visit type, insurance selection, and referral source. Providers do not receive raw free-text mental health searches or the visitor’s typed starting address.
The browser stores a random anonymous visitor identifier so repeated visits can be counted more accurately without using the visitor’s name or email address.
Provider accounts
Provider account authentication and provider profile data are stored through the project’s connected Supabase services. Provider information intended for publication is displayed in the directory; account credentials are not public.
No client medical records
This guide is not a therapy client portal or electronic health record. Visitors should not submit medical records, psychotherapy notes, or confidential clinical information through directory search fields.
